The name Grasshopper Club, represents the learning, exploration, and connection to grass. In addition, Grasshopper Club is a play on words with “GrasShopper” or Grass Shopper, emphasizing the connection to cannabis we all have.

How Does Grasshopper Club Qualify For Social Equity?

Having direct experience with the war on Drugs, co-owner Chuck Brewer was arrested for cannabis possession as a young adult.

When his brother, Matthew Brewer was exposed to the Illinois cannabis industry in 2015, they both immediately realized the lack of diversity and racial disparities in the industry.

This motivated both brothers and their mother, Dianne Brewer, to join forces as a family and apply for a license. From there, the Grasshopper Club was born.

  This location was very welcoming. No egomaniac was there to make my experience about them. They were there to help me with my purchase and that made me feel confident to come shop again. The Logan square location I can’t say the same. I give this location 5 stars for being phenomenal!

  Bought here a few times. Product was fine, but my rewards were populated on a different person's account several times. It was always up to me to confirm that the correct rewards account was populated. Staff didn't do much to move points over, either. One of the employees is very rude, and kept chastising me to order online to get points while I was trying to explain to her that my online account has never worked here. They also do not return exact change, you will not get coins from here.

  Overpriced and taxed af. but that is to be expected in chicago. 50$ for a 1 gram cart. that shit got clogged up and then shorted on me. never seen a cart leek out the ass like that. made all my shit sticky and i could have bought like 5 carts for the same price in michigan. as an avid weed smoker i know that carts can be tricky, but for 50$ that better be the best damn cart i ever smoked and sadly it did not live up to its expectations. save your money and your time, buy from a real dispensary.

  I’m proud to call Grasshopper Club my regular dispensary. The staff is always cool as hell, queer-friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable— from the door staff, to the budtenders. The store is clean, optimally located for a smoke at the park, or an edible at the museum, and I’ve never waited in line to pick up my order. From first timers to experienced users, they’ll have what you’re looking for.
