Illinois Senator Cristina Castro is an increasingly important player in the Illinois General Assembly. She is a member of the Latino Caucus and is Chairperson of the Senate Revenue Committee. She also serves as Vice-Chairperson of the Veterans Affairs committee and is a member multiple other committees.
She is a second-generation Mexican-American and her roots inform her perspective on cannabis policies and her commitment to making sure Illinois meets the social equity intent of our cannabis adult use legalization law.
