Where Did The Name Come From?
The name Grasshopper Club, represents the learning, exploration, and connection to grass. In addition, Grasshopper Club is a play on words with “GrasShopper” or Grass Shopper, emphasizing the connection to cannabis we all have.
How Does Grasshopper Club Qualify For Social Equity?
Having direct experience with the war on Drugs, co-owner Chuck Brewer was arrested for cannabis possession as a young adult.
When his brother, Matthew Brewer was exposed to the Illinois cannabis industry in 2015, they both immediately realized the lack of diversity and racial disparities in the industry.
This motivated both brothers and their mother, Dianne Brewer, to join forces as a family and apply for a license. From there, the Grasshopper Club was born.

a week agoGreat shop, clean and comfortable, good selection of premium products, Ian and Amanda were friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I came in with a bunch of questions, trying to get the best deal and the best quality that I could, and Amanda checked on my specific requests while Ian kept me company. It was really quick, I could have stayed and chatted longer. I'll definitely be back, particularly to try their solventless concentrates that are stored in the coolers

2 months agoI've been coming to this location for a while now, but I'm finally making myself write a review. To be clear, the personnel are always friendly, engaging and helpful, but I had a particularly great experience with Lanh. I hope I got that spelling right. I was taken aback by how much he knew about this stuff. I value informed recommendations very highly, and he really took the time and made the effort to navigate me to my best choice, while considering my rather pathetic budget. And I appreciate that! Working sucks, we all know it. So when you are good at your job, and you're cool, that deserves some credit. Credit to these folks at Grasshopper Club for just that. Highly recommending this fine establishment for all your weed needs.

2 weeks agoExtremely expensive even compared to another dispensary a couple blocks away. Budtenders are lacking common sense about products. They have a neighborhood discount and that's great, but it covers people that live over a mile south of the store, but not 2.5 bocks north of the store. The boundaries are based purely on zip code, not actual distance from the store, so if you live north of diversey, you're screwed. I can walk 3 blocks straight down Albany and run directly into their back door, but I'm apparently I'm not a 'neighbor', so I walk right past it to the next dispensary that doesn't have these dumb rules, high prices, or poorly trained budtenders. The other dispensary just south on Milwaukee gets all my business for these reasons.

6 months agoGreat dispensary. Very knowledgeable staff. Fast friendly service. Always smiles when you walk in as well as departure. I (highly) recommend researching the alternative of THC/CBD to pills or shots. Lots of medicinal uses. Must talk with lann, super knowledgeable about all the products, will walk you through any and all questions or concerns. Great experience. And they accept debt now, but of course there's always a ATM in the lobby.

Jordan greeted us when we came in, shared a lot of knowledge about different products, and helped my friend find the perfect flower to last through the visit. We had a great experience checking out too. Definitely would shop here again.
